Leor Schiffer
Alumni of UC San Diego and current professional beach volleyball player. Growing up he competed with Diablo Valley, Pacific Rim Volleyball Academy, Northern California Volleyball Club, and NorCal High-Performance, earning a seventh-place finish at the 2016 High-Performance Championships. Graduated from Las Lomas High School in 2016, earning First Team All-Diablo-Foothill Athletic League and Second Team All-Bay Area honors. Helped lead the Knights to back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Division 2 North Coast Section Championships and a third-place finish in the Division 2 CIF Championships.
Graduated with a degree in Economics with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Sixth College, with aspirations to compete on the AVP Beach Volleyball Tour and pursue a career in investment banking. A dedicated fan of the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, and San Francisco 49ers, with Taylor Crabb and Michael Jordan as top athletic inspirations. Career highlight includes a Senior Night victory over rival Campolindo High School.
Enjoys beach volleyball, cooking, and bodysurfing. Favorite music includes Kendrick Lamar, Dean Martin, and The Eagles, and favorite foods are steak and sushi.
Alexander Biz
Alumni of UC San Diego and current professional beach volleyball player. Growing up he competed for Mountain View Volleyball Club and played high school volleyball at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, graduating in 2017. Helped lead the Lancers to a Central Coast Section (CCS) championship as a senior and earned All-West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) honorable mention. Played a key role in the 2017 CCS Division I final victory over Bellarmine, securing the title with a 3-1 comeback win. Part of WCAL championship teams in 2015 and 2016, both with perfect 12-0 records, and contributed to the 2015 CCS title. Also played junior varsity water polo.
Graduated with a degree in Computer Science major with an Economics minor at Warren College and aspires to become a software engineer or entrepreneur. A dedicated Golden State Warriors fan who enjoys driving, cooking, and listening to Lil Uzi Vert, Nav, and Khalid. Favorite food is wings.
